During this special and intimate evening, Cariad will talk about why grief needs a new set of rules, what she has learnt about how to cope with grief through writing her book and how to maintain a sense of humour when dealing with the tragedy of life. She will be in conversation with journalist and author Kate Maxwell and will welcome questions from the audience. The talk will be followed by a book signing and a chance for guests to talk to Cariad in person.
Her first book You Are Not Alone is a road map for all of us: for anybody who has ever felt lost in grief, who wants to help someone in theirs, or who just wants to understand life a little better. This is a frank and funny book for navigating life right to the end.
Cariad Lloyd is an actor, comedian, improviser, podcaster and writer. She is the creator and host of the award-wining podcast Griefcast, where she talks to people about their experiences of grief and death. It won Podcast of the Year at the British podcast awards in 2018. Cariad has also appeared in Peep Show, Have I Got News For You and QI, and is one of the creators of improv show, Austentatious
Books will be available to buy on the evening via Book Bar.

2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
