Join The Looking Glass Cocktail Club for their first ever New Year’s Eve party which is set to be a night filled with magic to be remembered for ever and ever. On the night, they'll bring you the finest and most intriguing alternative performances from across the capital.
Upon your arrival you’ll make an impression by being suitably attired and begin by mingling with your fellow disguised guests whilst enjoying a tipple or two. Then, when you walk through the looking glass, you’ll revel in the scintillating sound of downtown jazz influenced soul which will instantly whisk you away to our fantasy land. The Mojo Cats are a whirlwind of exotic sounds that will fly you around the world and back. A celebration of Swing, Jazz, Latin and World music performed by some of the UK's top musicians. The Mojo Cats cover everything from lively swing/big band arrangements of jazz standards (as made famous by Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, and Dean Martin…) to popular Brazilian/Cuban dance music. Their performance will make your New Year’s Eve fun, exciting and memorable -- quite simply the perfect soundtrack to one of the biggest events of the year!
The evening will be punctuated by numerous outrageous performances by Maya Petrovna, who will be transporting her spellbinding one woman show to Looking Glass Cocktail Club for you to feast your senses on. Maya, the outstandingly tantalising entertainer for the night (AKA Maya “Coco” Petronova) is one of London's hottest vocalists and cabaret performance artists. Her early training was unorthodox as she developed her voice and learnt how to play guitar and piano by ear whilst living in the underground of Sarajevo during the Bosnian war.
Festivities begin at 7pm and we’ll dance the night away until the early hours (4am). Tickets are £10 each and will secure your entrance and amazement on the evening. Details and inspiration can be found here.
