Experience Vibrant Creativity at The People’s Park Tavern

Step into the glowing world of Neon Naked Life Drawing — an immersive, UV-lit art experience where body-painted models become radiant, living sculptures.

Using neon and UV-reactive materials, you’ll create bold, expressive artwork in a relaxed, social setting.

Sessions run monthly, 7 PM –9 PM and are open to all abilities. No previous drawing experience is required.

Nearest stations: Hackney Wick or Homerton

What to Expect

This workshop moves away from the perfectionism of traditional life drawing and focuses on creative freedom and experimentation. You’ll explore a variety of image-making techniques — from continuous line drawing to pointillism — and be encouraged to think playfully and intuitively.

As described by Time Out Magazine:

“It might look like a Full Moon party, but this evening of sketching is an experiment in light, colour, and texture. The models become ‘living sculptures’ covered in UV lights and reactive body paints. Trippy.”

Neon Naked Life Drawing is all about colour, light, texture, and expression. The fusion of UV lighting, reactive body paints, and hand-crafted flamboyant accessories creates a fully immersive and inspiring atmosphere.

The Session

You’ll work through a series of short poses, typically 6–15 minutes each, with different drawing styles explained at the start of the class. Support is always available if you need guidance, and the vibe is friendly, welcoming, and relaxed.

Perfect for:

  • A unique night out

  • Dates

  • Work socials

  • Birthdays

  • Hen parties

Art Supplies

All essential materials are provided, including:

  • Pencils, paper, and drawing boards

  • Fluorescent neon pastels

Neon Naked Life Drawing
Neon Naked reimagines life drawing as an immersive UV-lit experience, bringing colour, energy, and experimentation to a traditionally formal practice. Over the past eight years, it has grown into a vibrant creative platform, delivering more than 1,000 classes and running as a weekly event across multiple London venues. Founded by artist and creative director Jylle Navarro, Neon Naked emerged from a background in fashion, material experimentation, and a lifelong fascination with colour and light. Jylle began her creative career as a fashion designer, working extensively with experimental knitwear before shifting her focus toward immersive, multidisciplinary art. She went on to complete an MA in Art and Science at Central Saint Martins, specialising in light-reactive materials, immersive installations, and conceptual performance. This research-led approach underpins the Neon Naked ethos — combining UV light, body paint, handcrafted accessories, and expressive drawing techniques to transform models into luminous, living sculptures. Today, Neon Naked stands as a distinctive, inclusive, and continually evolving art experience, encouraging creative freedom, play, and exploration through light, colour, and the human form.
