After six years as one of Istanbul's most sought-after eateries, Yeni Lokanta is getting its first London locale with Beak Street's Yeni. The venture from Cem Bilge and celebrated chef Civan Er will introduce Londoners to Turkey's most authentic flavours with its mix of delicious dishes, wines and unique cocktails.
The menu, designed by Er, features an idiosyncratic selection of plates that fuse authentic flavours with modern style. Take for instance the over-roasted ribs, which come served on sourdough with cracked wheat, sour cherries and sumac molasses, or the kadajifi custard fritters with smoked buffalo milk ice cream.
The bar also makes a splash with its cocktails, that run from traditional raki infusions to more adventures concoctions that utilise everything from isot pepper to mahalep cherry.
