What they say:

With what looks like a fruitful future for both British-themed Barnyard bistro in Fitzrovia and Swedish cookery studio Aveqia by City Thameslink, Matt Young is eager to unleash his most recent menu here at Rök. Restaurateurs are trusting Matt to unite together ideas from both his previous stonkers as he aims to treat hungry East London tummies to a banquet of toothsome Nordic-themed nosh. With bar bites and cocktails aplenty also, you'll soon be seeing this smokehouse successfully hitting up the hubbub of Curtain Road.

What we say:

A fad of late amongst the culinary kings and queens is the spread of smokehouses. Pickling, marinading and, of course, smoking fresh British ingredients thrown together into traditional, tongue-tingler North European dishes from the likes of Norway and Sweden, we can safely say that this fusion is few and far between in the Big Smoke labyrinth. So Shoreditch-ists shoot down to chic-stylish Rök restaurant this August and sample this rare, yet stellar selection of fine fare fuming and sizzling in smoky awesomeness.
