I recently paid a visit to Gloria, the restaurant that everyone and their nan has been talking about. You know the one - it has interiors so beautiful you’ll probably cry and it has pasta served from a gigantic wheel of cheese. They won a gong in this year’s DesignMyNight Awards too, and with rumours…

From the brains behind Ober Mamma, Popolare and more comes Great Eastern Street's first authentic Italian trattoria, serving up freshly made pasta, homemade dishes and a warming atmosphere in swanky settings.
When it comes to the menu, Gloria is going large. Think 10-layered lasagna, huge cheese wheels filled with carbonara and towering lemon meringue pies. And the drinks are no shrinking violets either - sip on the Mint To Be Spritz - a summertime mix of prosecco, St Germain elderflower liquor and mint, or the punchy Colada Me Later, created from brandy, Rhum Trois Rivieres, mango, triple sec and almond syrup.
Interiors have been designed with the idea of 1970s Capri in mind, complete with low-hanging plants, comfy booths and a sultry basement drinking den. So get ready to up your Insta' game.
