There are fewer things more idyllic than the thought of eating brunch floating on a canal. And what better way to do just that than on two 50 metre barges on the stunning Grand Union Canal at Paddington Central? The geniuses behind the Daisy Green collection introduce Darcie and May Green, two large, two-storey barges serving up Australian brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails. They’re pretty interesting to look at too, with the design coming from British pop artist Peter Blake.

What we say:

The Daisy Green guys know how to make things Instagram-ready, but this is taking things to the next level. Amazing location aside, their food looks appetising too, putting fancy twists on brunch classics like a bacon and banana bread sandwich (the most middle class of bacon sarnies), or avocado on charcoal sourdough with creamy labneh. You can get bottomless drinks on those, too, as well as a bottomless afternoon tea. If you’re not there for brunch, they can offer up everything from halloumi fries and Szechuan soft shell crab to vegan celeriac steak. Wash it all down with one of their nine craft beers or seasonal cocktails and you’ve got yourself a date.
