Nestled in the heart of Primrose Hill is Lemonia, a family-run Greek restaurant that's been going since 1979. After setting up camp in a smaller space down Regent's Park Road, it moved to its current location in 1992 and the rest is history. Fronting Art Deco signage outside, it beckons you to wander in and discover a tranquil dining area filled with dark wooden furnishings, patio tiles and a glass ceiling allowing natural light to pour in.

Reminiscent of a Mediterranean courtyard, it provides the perfect setting to dine with friends and family, or even woo on a first date. In addition to a stunning ground floor, upstairs fronts a pretty, olive green space that can be hired out for birthdays and private events. 

The eatery prides itself on whipping up delicious, authentic cuisine using the freshest ingredients that it sources daily from markets and suppliers. On the menu, expect to discover plenty of much-loved dips (think tahini, tzatziki and hummus), alongside scrumptious plates of halloumi souvlaki, chicken shashlik, pagidakia and moussaka.

Dessert-wise, it serves crispy flakes of filo pastry in the form of baklava, drizzled in honey, plus milopitta (apple pie) and rizogalo (rice pudding). You'll also find a selection of wines to pair with your meal in addition to fresh spirits such as Aperol, ouzo and more.
