Madame D

Description

The husband and wife team behind Spitalfield's Gunpowder has opened a second restaurant, moments from the original. Located above Spirit of 76 Pub, Madame D focuses on food from the Himalayas, or more specifically, food created by Chinese-Tibetan immigrants who sought refuge in India.

The new spot has space for 25 people and is stripped back and intimate, only open for dinner Tuesday - Saturday; expect candlelight and long wooden benches for communal dining. The food has flavours from Nepal, China and the Himalayas with dishes such as pan-fried Tibetan duck momo, prawn on toast and garlic coriander steamed chicken.
