What they say:

The Juniper Tree strives to provide the highest quality organic ingredients in all of its products. On the bottom floor, the restaurant delivers authentic British dishes directly from their open kitchen, while the upstairs plays host to the bar area. Both rooms are encompassed by cool brick walls coupled with dark furnishings in black chairs and tables and dark leather sofas. Along with a menu packed with healthy organic food, there are also a wide variety of teas and coffees available as an after dinner pick-me-up.

What we say:

The organic food trend has been bubbling away in London for quite a while but the focus on quality British food puts it at odds with the more experimental, organic competition. That's not to say that the food doesn't sound any less delectable, with offerings like haunch venison steak with chunky celeriac mash, buttered kale and juniper berries forcing the belly to rumble as it rolls off your tongue. The starters and mains stick to the healthy mission statement, but the dessert menu is well equipped for anyone wishing to treat themselves, with selections like medjoul date sticky toffee with toffee sauce or chocolate fondant with salted caramel ice cream.
