Rocking up at Mare Street, this Japanese joint serves up the usual litany of authentic ramen and locally-brewed beers that has won them so many admiring glances in Soho and Haggerston.

The 50-cover restaurant is the lynchpin, but don’t think that means you can’t come by if you only fancy a drink, no siree! The dedicated long bar area is a destination in itself, where you’ll face something of a selection headache when confronted by local ales, Japanese beers, wines, whiskies and sake.
