What they say:

Having won Dalston over with their brand of Japanese BBQ skewers, Jidori is taking on Covent Garden and they're going bigger and better. The second spot, located on Catherine Street, will be spread across two floors and include a private karaoke room available for hire. When you're done crooning Britney covers, head to the restaurant for the chicken skewers that made its name, with seasonal and free-range ingredients cooked over a traditional charcoal oven.

What we say:

Jidori has been an East London stalwart for the last few years, and with its easy and delicious menu, it's no surprise that the rest of London has been paying attention. Now, the brand is going central with a bigger venue that includes even more Japanese fun, namely a karaoke room. Fans of the first destination will be pleased to hear that old favourites will be making the move, including the likes of katsu curry scotch egg, ginger ice cream and pumpkin tempura. To wash it down, drinks will include artisan sake, craft beer, and in summer, frozen yuzu margaritas with togarashi salt.
