Cavorting among the trendy new hubbub that is Clapham High Street? In need of a nibble? There’s a new restaurant in town, and they’re showcasing a top selection of international flavours and frivolities.
A veritable selection of global spices and sumptuous flavours, Mommi features an international hybrid where Japanese and Latin cultures collide. Diners are invited to sample a gluttonous array of raw, fresh and healthy plates, most presented on colourful tableware imported from Japan.
South America and Japan dominate the liquor cabinet too, with wines and piscos on offer for those fancying an exotic mouthful. Try the Machu Pistachu (rye whisky, pistachios, lemon, sugar and egg white) or the Miraflores (gin with grenadine, orange and lime sprinkled with edible flowers) on for size.
Mommi’s aesthetics are something special too. A collection of photography from Ben Watts, cutting-edge designs from Mister Important and a bespoke mural from the acclaimed Melbourne street artist RONE confirm this High Street venue as a striking new hub for socialising.
