What they say:

Gabeto Cantina is set to be one of the biggest new developments in Camden Market, and it’s not just because of their food menu. The venue is making use of the entirety of a first floor warehouse conversion, creating a modern brasserie space to match its contemporary menu. After ascending an industrial staircase, you’ll be greeted by exposed brickwork, dark timber flooring, art pieces and neon signs around the edges. Within the large dining space, expect to dine among high-level dining booths and retro furniture – unless you are sitting outside in their all-year dining terrace.

What we say:

Despite, oddly, taking a Spanish name, this restaurant bar is all about contemporary British food in a brasserie setting. Open from breakfast all the way till dinner, diners can choose between smaller plates, individual dishes and larger sharing plates, depending on how they want to dine. There’s a specialised wood-fire oven in the kitchen too, meaning a lot of dishes will carry a distinct, smokey taste. Meanwhile, you can wash it all down with a drink from their carefully crafted wine and cocktail list. Most interesting about the venue is probably their terrace, which is supposed to be protected against the elements so effectively that it’ll be open all-year round, and will play host to a number of pop-up food vendors.
