Arepa & Co Bethnal Green

Description

The second opening of Arepa & Co sits on the buzzy Paradise Row in Bethnal Green minutes from the station.

Arepa & Co offers up a traditional Venezuelan menu featuring cachapas (corn pancakes), rice bowls (filled with black turtle beans and fried plantain) as well as their most popular dish and namesake, arepas; round and flat cornbreads stuffed with the likes of shredded beef, braised pork or a tasty vegan option - sweet potato and charred apple sauce.

Their sharing menu of small, tapas-style plates is also a great way to try different flavours and dishes created by the chefs who are inspired by the rich and colourful Venezuelan culture and flavours. The menu offers something for everyone, with a wide range of vegan and vegetarian options as well as most of the menu being gluten-free.

The urban and industrial styled venue is split between two floors, with an outside terrace and beautiful mezzanine level, perfect to hire for any event or special occasion.

There is no hire charge for the private room, just a minimum spend depending on the size of your party.

For groups of more than 15 people, we offer our 'Feast Menu'. This menu has been designed so that you don’t have the hassle of obtaining a pre-order. It is also a great sharing experience for your party. Using this menu will allow us to offer you faster and smoother service. We place sharing plates on the table and people help themselves to whatever they enjoy. This is a selection of our most popular dishes and best ingredients. Our staff introduce the food, tells the story and how it is best eaten. The set price for this menu is £20 per person and drinks are charged separately. If there are any vegetarians or vegans in the group, they can order any items from the ‘a la carte’ menu for the same set price. I am attaching the menu for your reference and a photo that captures what the Feast looks like.

For groups of 9 or more we offer our ‘Group’ or ‘Feast’ menus. These menus have been designed so that you don’t have the hassle of obtaining a pre-order.

Group Menu is a selection of our best dishes and best-selling items but presented in a reduced ‘a la carte’ menu. Essentially, people can order ‘a la carte’ but from a reduced selection than the full menu. This will allow us to offer you faster and smoother service.

Our Review

We Tried Bethnal Green's Newest Brunch Spot, Arepa & Co

Arepa and Co has opened a second Venezuelan restaurant in the arches of Bethnal Green's Paradise Row. On the surface, Paradise Row doesn’t look very paradisiacal, what with the neighbouring building site and the BP Garage at the end. But I’m all for self-aggrandisement, cause if you can’t love…
