What they say:

A new pub is gracing Peckham. Prince of Peckham is named after a character from the sitcom Desmond's and is spread across two floors. Taking over the spot formerly occupied by Clayton Arms, the pub has an upstairs gig and arts space, while downstairs is more pub-vibe. Renowned caterers White Men Can't Jerk are running the kitchen and serving Caribbean dishes such as curried mutton shepherd's pie and Red Stripe fried chicken wings.

What we say:

We might be sorry to see the Clayton Arms go but South London is being served up another corker of a boozer as Clement Ogbonnaya opens up community spot, Prince of Peckham. The South Londoner has previously worked with Paradise By Way of Kensal Green and is bringing his expertise to create a spot that appeals to everyone. It isn't all craft ale and great dishes, the venue has space for art exhibitions from local art schools and colleges as well as photographers' work.
