The George - Great Portland Street

Our Private Dining Room at The George offers an elevated and elegant dining experience, with interiors paying homage to its former use as the grand Georgian living quarters of the pub’s previous landlords.

Boasting chandelier lighting, an ancient brick fireplace, a long banqueting table and a stunning stained glass wall, our private room is a beautiful location for intimate dining in the heart of Fitzrovia.

This space comes with a capacity of up to 20 people seated and 35 standing, with table service, an AV system, a personal TV screen for sport or presentations and WiFi throughout.

Opt to upgrade your experience with a personal Guinness keg for your group, serving 53 pints.

Located on the Ground Floor at The George, the Green Room is a private dining space for up to 8 people seated.

The Snug is our semi-private space on the Ground Floor, with capacity for up to 10 seated and up to 25 standing. The perfect spot for a small gathering to enjoy drinks, canapés, bar snacks and traditional pub classics.

This space offers table service, a private screen for viewing sport and WiFi throughout.

Tucked away on the first floor, our new iteration of The Gluepot is is an intimate private dining room with an exclusive menu that showcases the very best of The George. Equipped with a private screen and space for a Guinness keg, it’s ideal for premium dining for up to 10 guests.

Our first floor Dining Room offers an elevated and elegant experience, with interiors paying homage to its former use as the grand Georgian living quarters of the pub’s previous landlords. Original features include four Victorian fireplaces and large regency windows which overlook the hustle and bustle of Great Portland Street. The Dining Room is available for private hire for breakfast, lunch or dinner, for 30 seated or 45 standing.

On the ground floor, The George offers a quintessential British pub experience with 18th-century, Grade II listed interiors. Traditional pub fare is served alongside craft beers, cask ales, an extensive spirit selection and seasonal cocktails. The ground floor pub is available for private use, with a capacity for up to 70 standing guests. The George can cater to breakfasts, lunches, dinners, business meetings and parties, with food and drink packages available to suit your needs.

The First Floor can hold up to 50 seated or 60 standing and features the Private Dining Room, Dining Room and Gluepot Bar as well as a private bathroom, a state of the art AV system and WiFI throughout.

Opt to take over our full venue across two floors with capacity for 100 seated or 150 standing.
