The Candlemaker is a vibrant, characterful pub whose pop art and psychedelic décor takes its inspiration from a nearby candle factory. This quaint pub is independently owned and aims to create a sense of community in the beautiful cobbled part of Battersea High Street. With an multitude of comfy places to relax and cool artwork lining the walls, this is a quirky pub made for relaxing with friends and enjoying good food and good drinks.
Candlemaker boss Michele has brought Soho’s favourite pop up café has moved to with her to Battersea. The Full English Kitchen features Michele's entirely appropriate retro food menu of great quality comfort food. Using the best ingredients from her favourite farmers, dishes range from old-favourites-with a twist like shredded lamb shepherds pie and beef brisket hash with black pudding, through new creations like her meatloaf burger.
There's also an East End fish stand, serving oysters on a Friday night, weekly market stalls and BBQ chefs overseeing cook outs.
