A fantastic and cosy pub with great ambience, music, friendly and helpful staff, tasty food made by a very accommodating chef! One great local London pub to reccommend! Thank you! visited The Candlemaker on 14 Jan 2017

No booking confirmation received. I had to go into the pub FOUR times because "only the manager could confirm the booking". Finally the booking was confirmed. We arrived with our party half an hour before the booking and told them we were here but would have a drink outside. We were informed that they did not have our booking and brunch had already ended. We explained the situation and they agreed to provide the brunch (begrudgingly). They then insisted we all pay immediately despite no food/drink being received. The menu was brought over which was mush smaller than the one advertised. The wrong food was brought out then we were told we had ordered that (the vegetarian definitely did not order ham). After half an hour of being there the barman came over and advised us that they had run out of the fizz they use for brunch so they had brought us a nicer bottle of prosecco which would have to be our last. We disputed this advising we had already paid for a bottomless brunch in full and had 1 and a half hours left of it. They did finally agree however it was a very disappointing experience as a whole. We had arranged a festive brunch with friends and the whole thing was embarrassing, irritating and disappointing. There was one mistake after another and despite it being the fault of the pub we felt like we were being blamed. It ruined brunch and we would not go again. visited The Candlemaker on 17 Dec 2016

Awesome little boozer neatly tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Some great beers on offer including some made just down the road which gave off a nice local vibe. We did the quiz & 2-4-1 Burgers, Quiz master Danny was a hoot and the burgers we're bloody delicious. Look forward to checking out their bingo bottomless brunch, if it's half as good as what I've seen so far then they're on to a winner!

Cute little pub nestled away off the busy main road. I came in for a catch up with a friend last Wednesday and boy the food offering has changed. It was divine! We shared the platter and we couldn't get enough of the Vietnamese Chicken wings we ordered an extra portion. There was a Craft Club going on in the back too although we thought better to mix sticky fingers and origami. Definitely worth giving the Candlemaker another try, I can imagine the beer gardens must get busy in the summer.

Cosy pub with loads of character. It serves British food and has a small beer garden if you fancy sitting outdoors. They have a pub quiz on Monday nights if you fancy getting on your general knowledge!

I happily booked a table for my birthday on Sunday. The deco is really nice indeed and even though at 3,30 the pub was nearly empty (quite alarming)we ordered a Sunday roast as there was nothing else on the menu. When the food arrived it was a huge shock! It looked so miserable as if it had been cooked two days ago, everything was cold, the potatoes hard as stone, absolutely hideous! they tried to convince us it was freshly cooked, but there was no way they were telling the truth. After a poor attempt to heat the already suffered veggies and meat we asked for a refund which they gave us as the food was speaking for itself. Drinks? yes! Food? STAY AWAY!

An initial good impression of the pub - cool interior and a friendly barman. A group of 8 of us all ordered roasts - which came out at 3 different stages, regardless of what was ordered (plus a return for the wrong order). No apologies for the delay and no good-will gesture offered. The roasts were OK - some better than others, but quite small compared to normal pub roasts. Other staff were quite rude as well. Toilets were despicable and flooded, quite gross. A lot better pubs in SW London.
