SEAN MCLOUGHLIN

Sean McLoughlin is an acclaimed stand-up comedian and writer based in London, described as “The best comedian you haven’t heard of” by Time Out and “an impassioned and uniquely brilliant talent” by The List.

Hugely in-demand in the U.K. and internationally he has most recently been the tour support for Ricky Gervais in arenas across the globe, having previously opened for Bill Burr at the Royal Albert Hall and performed a gala show at the Sydney Opera House. If that’s not pedigree with a capital ‘P’ then we don’t know what is.

His stand-up is observational, self-effacing, poetic, beautifully constructed and explosively funny.

ATHENA KUGBLENU

Bold, fresh and always bang on point, over the past couple of years Athena has grown into a formidable comedian. Garnering critical acclaim for her first two shows while still somewhat of a newcomer to the industry, Athena has been busy working with the BBC on TV and Radio, as a performer, panellist and writer for shows such as Mock the Week, Breaking the News, Loose Ends and Horrible Histories, as well as becoming a Mum twice over and branching out into podcasting in the last couple of years. She has also supported Daliso Chaponda, Nish Kumar, and Fern Brady on tour, as well as appearing at the Johannesburg International Comedy Festival.

“An intelligent set that managed to be both easily accessible and playful and still say something serious.” Beyond the Joke

“A smart, impassioned comedian…an informed social observer and invested cultural commentator.” The Scotsman

“Good material, sharp presentation…an important voice.” The Times

TADIWA MAHLUNGE

Tadiwa Mahlunge is one of comedy's most exciting new acts, already scoring a multitude of awards including winning London and Manchester King Gong in 2018 and 2020, Semifinalist of Amused Moose New Comedian of the Year in 2019 and 2020, winning The Blackout at Up The Creek 2020 and most recently winning Beat The Frog at The Frog and Bucket in February. Not bad, after being told that he wasn't allowed to join the Comedy Society at Lancaster University because he 'did not represent the values of the society'.

Tadiwa was born in Zimbabwe before growing up in Cardiff. After spending his whole life in two colonies, it's a bummer for him to now call London home. When his plans to have a career as a professional physicist were dashed, after he was told he would never make the grades for Oxbridge, his obvious second choice was standup.

Other than standup, Tadiwa loves writing software, football, MMA and World of Warcraft. The thinking man's incel.

VITTORIO ANGELONE

Vittorio Angelone is a comedian from Belfast who has progressed through the ranks of the comedy world at an anxiety-inducing rate. This pressure of this has caused him to become one of the hardest working acts on the circuit with a plethora of podcasts, sketches, back garden comedy clubs and live shows to his name. He hopes not to be consumed by the self-inflicted pressure but we’ll see what happens.

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post
