What they say:

Shoreditch Platform has transformed the former Shoreditch train station into a seriously cool space with the help of Alex Meitlis, the architect who has previously worked with Ottolenghi. The venue is aimed at the start-up generation and offers workers a space with meeting rooms, power stations and an upstairs bar. Rather than charging workers rental fees or fixed contracts, the venue offers complete freedom through their hourly fee. It's not all work and no play; during weekday mornings, there are yoga and Pilates classes, while weekend evenings see DJs taking over the versatile space.

What we say:

Working just got a whole lot more fun at Shoreditch Platform as the venue, located minutes from Old Street and Liverpool Station, opens offering people a flexible space to work and play. Guests use a card much like an Oyster to pay £5 an hour, or subscribe for weekly and monthly rates for access to the space. Forget white-walls and staring at office blocks, Shoreditch Platform has got some serious designs going on with stencilling and art work from a renowned architect. If you need a little break, the upstairs bar serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a menu of 15 cocktails.
