What they say:

Famous celebrity nightclub Paper has re-opened in Soho for the first time in eight years after a £1 million refurbishment. The former venue boasted A-List clientele like Jay Z, P Diddy and Keira Knightley, and the club hopes to court the same the crowd in its revamped location. It hosts a VIP room with walls engraved by a specially designed laser, a bespoke, hand-made bar crafted from brass, along with a sound-system created by the same designers as Fabric’s. The dress code is ‘make an effort ‘, which means jeans and trainers are accepted as long as they look good.

What we say:

With Fabric being brought back from the brink and now Paper rising from the ashes, this all could be a sign that London is returning to its golden era of clubbing nightlife. While that remains to be seen, Paper should get the capital’s nightclub goers hyped, for no other reason than the venue has a pedigree of hosting royalty: both Prince Harry and Beyonce have danced in their old walls, so these guys know how to impress. This new venue is filled with modern quirks: the sound system and mixing deck is state-of-the-art, the entrance is laden with the covers of prestigious magazines from around the world, and there's a photo studio so patrons can take the perfect selfie. That’s right, very soon you could be showing off your best pout in a specially designed selfie room next to Kim Kardashian herself.
