What they say:

Josephine de Beauharnais may be better known as the first wife of Napoleon and alleged recipient of the phrase 'not tonight, Josephine', when her husband was avoiding sex, but a new Waterloo bar is changing the way we see her. Tonight Josephine is an intimate basement cocktail bar that bills itself as part of the Empress of France's girl gang with slogans lit up in neon, lots of pink decor and a shed loads of glitter.

What we say:

Pink, glittery, and loud and proud, Tonight Jospehine doesn't have time for Napoleon and it certainly doesn't have time for any haters. Channelling all the sass of the French Empress, the bar is reclaiming stereotypical 'girly' with an added punchy twist thanks to design from Finch Interiors, the same group who have worked with spots such as Drink, Shop & Do; The Escapologist and The Breakfast Club. Expect a 'Lady Garden' neon sign, a PVC metallic bed and tasselled walls on the interiors front, while the cocktail list promises to be just as flamboyant and naughty.
