Must Die Tonight!
Under raging stormclouds, a lone figure stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of castle Ravenloft. Count Strahd von Zarovich stares down a sheer cliff at the village below. A bitter, chill wind whistles through, billowing his cape in the darkness.
This is a double
session of Shadowdark, an old-school D&D game. We
will be playing through the 1983 classic adventure that introduced
the legendary vampire Count Strahd Von Zarovich to the world.
Get into the Halloween mood early with a dungeon crawl around
Strahd’s castle in search of legendary weapons to finally put an
end to his reign of misery.
The session assumes no previous experience with Shadowdark; it
will include a system introduction and optional character
creation. Many mechanics will be familiar to 5e players (roll a
d20 plus a modifier to beat a difficulty class). Extra characters
will be on hand should anything terrible (almost certainly) happen
to your character during the game.
PRE-GENS PROVIDED?:
Yes - a selection of level 5 pregens will be available.
You are also welcome to roll up a new character at the beginning of the session, guided by the GM.
CONTENT WARNINGS:
Gothic horror, body horror, violence,
death and undeath, corpses, blood, vampirism, bats, rats, spiders,
stalking, mind control, confinement, asphyxiation.
Arrival and Start Time: When you arrive, please head to the bar in the Apothecary to check in. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the ticketed start time to give you enough time to order drinks and settle in!
Please note, all sessions begin at 6:30 promptly. If you arrive after games have begun, there is no guarantee that we will be able to seat you at a table.

Outside Food: We are an independent business, and do not allow outside food or drink to be consumed on the premises.
Animals: We do not allow animals to attend any of our ticketed events, partnered or otherwise. This is due to sensory, allergy and trigger issues.
