Following on from the success of their original site in Islington, The Four Sisters owners Simon Bastable and Andrew Green have opened a second venue on Groveland Court.

This elegant Victorian townhouse features hard wood oak panelling and a raised seating area known as ‘the study’, creating a refined atmosphere in which to enjoy some drinks. Andrei Marian heads up the drinks menu, promising everything from classic and bespoke craft cocktails to wines, beers and The Four Sisters’ own amaro. The cocktail menu changes weekly and features all kinds of homemade bitters and syrups.

In a break from the original bar’s concept, The Four Sisters Townhouse also offers an artisan food menu of sharing plates and lighter bites. It’s open from noon until late throughout the week and is available for private hire come the weekends.

A great bar, hidden away...but well worth searching for! The cocktails are great, the staff welcoming and knowledgeable . I had the Giraldilla which was delicious, and the Old Tub Switchel with popcorn infused bourbon is a must try. Will be back SOON!! Sunny visited The Four Sisters Townhouse on 08 Aug 2017

We went there for corporate leaving drinks and absolutely enjoyed it. It is unique and very intimate little bar and it does not feel like you are in the City, which is quite amazing, given it is so close to all the corporates. Cocktails were top-notch and the staff was really attentive! Thanks and best of luck for this hidden gem! visited The Four Sisters Townhouse on 29 Jun 2017

A very boozy affair as the drinks were rather lovely and very drinkable. Very smiley and friendly service. I liked the background music and the decor (in particular the rhino wall light) and will definitely return :) one thing to note though, there weren't enough vegetarian options on the main menu, so we resorted to the bar snacks instead. lorraineb visited The Four Sisters Townhouse on 23 Jun 2017

I first fell in love with The Four Sisters Townhouse when my friend introduced me to it a few months ago, I loved the quirky, cosy, Victoriana interior, the music added to the atmosphere and the cocktails were just incredible and very reasonably priced. So I recently hired it for my 40th birthday party. It was the perfect place for about 40-50 people, everything came together to create the perfect atmosphere, just big enough to mingle, chat, dance and sit down if you feel like it yet not too big that it feels cavernous. The decor like I say is quirky yet rich and sumptuous with bookshelves lining the walls it feels like being in a dark Victorian library but with delicious cocktails flowing and fabulous swing/jazz music playing. The team there were amazing, they really couldn’t have done enough to make my night special for me and my guests, they even created a series of bespoke cocktails just for me and wandered around all evening with offerings of delicious canapés. Several of my guests commented on how knowledgable the bar staff were about the cocktails and flavour pairings. As the night went on they were happy enough for me to switch the music from their sophisticated selection to my compilation of cheesy 80’s/90’s crowd pleasers, sure they regretted that later on! All in all I would whole heartedly recommend this bar for a cosy catch up with friends during the week (be great for a date too). Or for private hire at the weekend. I can’t wait to go back and sample more from their menu. Thank you again to all of the team there, you really did make my night :)

Great venue and service. Unfortunately some of the flavours in the cocktails did mix very well and were quite expensive for what they were. visited The Four Sisters Townhouse on 20 Apr 2017

We booked an area for a small party, which was easy to do and straightforward. On the night, food and drinks for the party became available quickly. Based on previous visits, we had high expectations of what our food would be like and were disappointed. The bread board was extremely overpriced, with 4 small slices of bread at £3.50! Service was good throughout the night, but we did come away feeling as though we had paid over the odds for the night. Given the competition in the City, the only way you will keep people coming back, is making them feel as though they are getting value for money....unfortunately we didn't on this occasion. visited The Four Sisters Townhouse on 13 Apr 2017

I really loved the experience and atmosphere. Fantastic interior, great music, at a appropriate volume to be in the background. Just one thing that I would like to see on the menu - a selection of non alkoholic coctails visited The Four Sisters Townhouse on 17 Mar 2017

An excellent find! Wide choice of cocktails and wine (and we tried plenty) and a good sharing platter. Attentive and friendly staff, but not overly so. We will be back. visited The Four Sisters Townhouse on 01 Mar 2017

We really enjoyed our evening at the Four Sisters. We had booked a table, and when we arrived actually had enugh space for the number of people we had booked for (seems to be rare in London!). The venue is beautiful and the cocktail list was unusual and interesting. We had a good selection of yummy cocktails, but the best thing about this venue is the staff. They were super friendly and welcoming and made a massive effort to make sure we were enjoying our drinks and our evening. Thank you so much - and we will be back! Lovely bar in the heart of the city with incredible, top quality cocktails. The service and ambience were great and so far apart from the standard and very dull normal "city bars". Will definitely be returning, its great! Genny visited The Four Sisters Townhouse on 30 Nov 2016

Such a cool little venue! Nicely quirky and quiet for the city, tucked away up an alleyway. Made a booking for my birthday, we were well looked after with a nice space and some tasty and original cocktails. Only qualm was we were moved out of our space for a larger group at about 11pm, when I'd been told we had the table til 2! sarahtops11 visited The Four Sisters Townhouse on 11 Nov 2016

Went there to catch up with a friend. Booking was very easy for a Friday evening and service was very friendly. Good music played and low enough to have a conversation without having to raise your voice. Will definitely be back Emma visited The Four Sisters Townhouse on 18 Nov 2016

Loved the quirky interior with a stuffed crow sitting on a pile of books and the weekly changing drinks menu. The cocktails were excellent and the location felt charming, hidden away down a dead end alley! Definitely recommended.
