The Book Club

Spread over two spacious floors of a former Victorian warehouse on Leonard Street, The Book Club is a Shoreditch bar & club serving up cocktails, beers on tap and local DJs. She's iconic for her outrageous parties and dirty basement club nights.

The ground floor of the venue has recently been given a distinctly fresh overhaul – with an incredible new Brooklyn-style loft feel and a newfound look. And then downstairs, an iconic smoky basement space with a secret room just off the back of it. Some say the venue has a cosy second-home feel, especially as she features constantly evolving exhibitions that adorn the walls.

Currently open Thursdays-Sundays, the venue offers up some juicy days / nights:

Thursdays: G&T Social Club - £5 double Gin and Tonics all night

Fridays: The Get Down - DJs playing the best Hip Hop and RnB to keep you bopping in your seat all night long.

Saturdays: By day, there is their brand new bottomless 'Not Another Drag Brunch', running 11:30am-4pm. Grab tickets HERE. By night, you can catch the best local eclectic DJs playing the best in, well... everything.

Sundays: No Sleep Brunch Club - the bottomless brunch for the morning after the night before. Grab 2 hours of bottomless Espresso Martinis, Prosecco, Bloody Marys and Mimosas plus any brunch dish for £40. Not forgetting a DJ playing the best in Ibiza Classics! Running 12pm-5pm. Grab your tickets HERE.

If you didn't fancy any of the above then why not pop in for a cocktail or three, and maybe one of our juicy pizzas (rated no.5 best slice in London by Elle Mag). The staff would love to see you <3

It's official... from 19th July we can dance again.

The basement of The Book Club really ramps up in the later hours of the day, boasting a top-of-the-range sound system, a large bar, a spacious seating area located under their infamous 2,200 lightbulb ceiling and, of course, a DJ booth and dance floor. It also has a cloakroom, toilets and a photobooth so is a great self-sufficient space.

The Book Club London - DJ Bar Review

Tucked away in the lively heart of East London, The Book Club is not the standard trendy Shoreditch bar. With a vast programme of forward-thinking events, including exhibitions, club nights, video game parties, film screenings and ping-pong tournaments, this is a unique spot in London, so I headed down…
