McQueen in Shoreditch is a mighty trinity: a Cocktail Bar, The Grill restaurant and a boutique nightclub dedicated to the toughest and sexiest American movie star of the 1960s and 70s. The Steve McQueen inspiration manifests itself in the American food, masculine interior design and huge framed photographs of the “King of Cool”.
Some of his coolness has rubbed off on this classy East London establishment with its Chesterfield sofas, large chandeliers, and rustic wood, creating a stunning visual impact of male glamour. The DJ decks are as exposed as the brickwork in the lounge bar, adding a sense of occasion to the bar as well as a cool soundtrack of House music. The bar is well stocked and cocktails come highly recommended.
The newly launched The Grill at McQueen has received great reviews for its top notch steaks and killer cocktails. The basement club at McQueen with cutting-edge speakers and lighting systems steals the show on Fridays and Saturdays. McQueen focuses on booking high profile DJs and working with the best promoters around for banging club nights Thurs-Sat. Hang your inhibitions in their cloakroom and enjoy the extravagant House music DJ clubs, live indie/rock music or burlesque nights at McQueen.

A word from the chef:
The McQueen Restaurant is famous for its grill section and great steaks; where the Scottish Angus Fillet Steak 8oz tops the bill at £30.00. Alternatives to steak come in a later cheap and the main dishes include duck, pork and a fish of the day choice. Alternatively the Bar menu offers burgers, nachos and sides if you wanting something to nibble while enjoying the great selection of cocktails.
Steve McQueen, the man, the legend, ‘the king of cool’, there’s a lot to be said for him. Trained in Korean martial art Tang Soo Do, a race car enthusiast and known for completing his own stunts, McQueen’s legacy continues...

Reply from McQueenHello Louise, thank you for your honest feedback and I'm sorry to hear that you've felt left out by our menu at McQueen. Can you please let me know which dish you refer to which is 'covered in cheese' and 'overpriced for the quality' so that I can investigate it further? My name is Fabio and I'm the marketing & communications manager at The Grill at McQueen: email@example.com. Thank you. Fabio
