McQueen in Shoreditch is a mighty trinity: a Cocktail Bar, The Grill restaurant and a boutique nightclub dedicated to the toughest and sexiest American movie star of the 1960s and 70s. The Steve McQueen inspiration manifests itself in the American food, masculine interior design and huge framed photographs of the “King of Cool”.

Some of his coolness has rubbed off on this classy East London establishment with its Chesterfield sofas, large chandeliers, and rustic wood, creating a stunning visual impact of male glamour. The DJ decks are as exposed as the brickwork in the lounge bar, adding a sense of occasion to the bar as well as a cool soundtrack of House music. The bar is well stocked and cocktails come highly recommended.

The newly launched The Grill at McQueen has received great reviews for its top notch steaks and killer cocktails. The basement club at McQueen with cutting-edge speakers and lighting systems steals the show on Fridays and Saturdays. McQueen focuses on booking high profile DJs and working with the best promoters around for banging club nights Thurs-Sat. Hang your inhibitions in their cloakroom and enjoy the extravagant House music DJ clubs, live indie/rock music or burlesque nights at McQueen.

This venue serves Grill, Burgers, British and Gastro food.

A word from the chef:
The McQueen Restaurant is famous for its grill section and great steaks; where the Scottish Angus Fillet Steak 8oz tops the bill at £30.00. Alternatives to steak come in a later cheap and the main dishes include duck, pork and a fish of the day choice. Alternatively the Bar menu offers burgers, nachos and sides if you wanting something to nibble while enjoying the great selection of cocktails.

I love this place. One of my best in London. Great venue, wicked music, best food and of course cocktails. I recommend it to anyone.

Only 1 vegetarian option, covered in cheese. And overpriced for the quality. Don't bother if you are veggie or vegan basically

Hello Louise, thank you for your honest feedback and I'm sorry to hear that you've felt left out by our menu at McQueen. Can you please let me know which dish you refer to which is 'covered in cheese' and 'overpriced for the quality' so that I can investigate it further? My name is Fabio and I'm the marketing & communications manager at The Grill at McQueen: Thank you. Fabio

Went here on a wowcher deal for a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine. Table service was fantastic, food was really good and the bar and restaurant were kookie and plush. Only issue is it is quite out the way.

Good food and cocktails. Upmarket casual in the lounge bar and restaurant, The club downstairs is small but decedent. McQueen has a lot to offer in terms of different events and music nights.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely - and cheap! - dinner at McQueen last week. We went for the early dinner menu which is £15.50 for 3 courses. Dishes were nicely done and then we found out that the head chef is a young lady in her 20s. Wicked!

A breath of fresh air in Shoreditch. The cocktails are fantastic and the decor is very cool. Good for a more lively night on Thursdays when it has a burlesque theme or Fridays. Other nights it's a lot quieter but wonderful for dates or catch-ups with friends.

Great venue, nice staff as well. Plus the tables were quite an affordable price too. We had such a good time and stayed until the end, i'll be going back!

Fast becomming my venue of choice is Shoreditch, I love Mcqueen, you can come for a big night out with the DJs downstairs or pose around and chat with friends in the cool lounge bar, havent yet checked out the rooftop though, bring on summer!

McQueen has quickly become my favourite spots in the Shoreditch area. I absolutely love the Lounge Bar, beautifully designed, comfortable and buzzy! I also tried the Restaurant the other day and had one of the best steaks ever. And the Club downstairs is also a winner, we had a great time the other day when Oliver Land was on. i highly recommend McQueen.

My friend and I literally bumped in this venue wondering around Shoreditch and was nicely surprised! We ended up having dinner in the Restaurant, cocktails in the Lounge and even saw a burlesque show. Top notch!

Some of my best nights out have been at McQueen. Great cocktails, nice atmosphere and friendly staff - Veronika at the Restaurant is adorable! Top notch.

All I can say is that the guy who turned up and didnt get in because he wasnt on the guestlist doesnt realise how lucky he was! FIrstly, guestlist??? It was empty so turning people way from this dump is laughable. Downstairs is chavtastic, like a bad night out in Essex. Upstairs is an odd mix of suits and students; but all unfriendly people. There are far better places to go for 10 quid entrance.

A really cool venue from top to bottom. Can't believe how good the food was, considering it's a Shoreditch Club.
