What they say:

Dishoom is a Bollywood sound effect produced when a hero lands a good punch or when a bullet flies through the air. It can also be used in an Austin Power-esque oriental synonym to "€œMojo"€. Recommended for you phrase book: "You gotta have Dishoom babe, yeah. Hit it."

But Dishoom is also the name of London's finest Indian café in Covent Garden and now another one is bringing a flavour of Bombay drinking heritage to Shoreditch. The new Dishoom bar will open in October with a restaurant area, bar, café and courtyard designed by Russell Sage Studios. Kitchen hours will be long as this oriental oasis will attract dwellers for breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner and drinks with head chef Naved Nasir showcasing the best of Bombay street grills with dishes like a Lamb Raan burger made from slow-cooked pulled lamb.

What we say:

Dishoom in Covent Garden is a wonderful mix of tradition and modern elegance with quirky features like one of the owners’ family photos decorating the walls. The new Shoreditch cafe bar will be yet another harmonious meeting place where you can enjoy herby and botanic Indian originated cocktails under the supervision of Carl Brown with concoctions such as Flips, Gimlets, Sours, Old Fashioned and Julep.
