City Social

Description

Situated on the 24th floor of London's iconic Tower 42 is City Social, a chic and sophisticated restaurant from acclaimed chef Jason Atherton. The venue becomes Atherton's fifth outpost, and blends beautiful cuisine with a stylish interior and stunning views of the City to create a first-rate dining experience.

As might be expected, Atherton has assembled an incredibly talented culinary team to whip up all kinds of tasty treats. Head chef is the vastly experienced Paul Walsh, and the kitchen produces a range of indulgent mains, lighter bar snacks and a strong dessert list. Sample mains include a Rack of Romney Marsh lamb, braised shoulder shepherd's pie and Line-caught Cornish sea bass, deep-fried oyster, cucumber, sea fennel and oyster veloute. There's also plenty of delectable pasta, rice and grilled dishes to consider.

The food is great, and the vast range of drinks raises the stakes further. There's a long list of cocktails and wines, as well as a good selection of beers, spirits and champagnes if there's cause for celebration. City Social can definitely be visited for the strength of its drinks cabinet alone.

Dishes don't come cheap, but the quality of the cuisine speaks for itself. Located in the heart of the business world; the venue is perfect for hosting meetings, business lunches and private parties alike.

We Sent Our Writer To Dine 24 Floors Above Sea Level

Maybe it’s the past 9 months that I’ve been spending very much at sea level - by the sea - but skyscrapers have started to feel like relics of a forgotten era. If 2020 has inspired any sci-fi fantasies, it’s that in 300 years, PJs will have made the transition to actual daywear and owning a house…
