What they say:

Following a lengthy court battle, the former spot of The Carpenters Arms has been stopped from being developed into flats and instead has been turned into a neighbourhood cocktail bar. The Racketeer is located moments from King's Cross and is open Monday - Saturday serving classic cocktails, craft beer and fine wines. The building itself is more than 140 years old, something the new managers are keen to show as they have stripped back newer features to reveal Victorian tiling and exposed brick.

What we say:

It looks like a serious new contender to intimate cocktail bars has opened up near King's Cross. The Racketeer is a quirky drink spot that exudes vintage charm as gilded mirrors hang on the walls, tables have ornate iron legs and there are velvet sofas. As well as a plush interiors, there is also seating outside on the pavement as well as a small walled garden.
