The Bayeux Tapestry
One of the world's most celebrated medieval treasures, the Bayeux Tapestry is a remarkable embroidered masterpiece dating back to the 11th century. Stretching almost 70 metres in length, it vividly tells the story of the Norman Conquest of England in 1066, culminating in the Battle of Hastings through a series of intricately stitched scenes.

Renowned for its extraordinary craftsmanship and historical significance, the Bayeux Tapestry has captivated visitors for centuries. Its landmark exhibition at the British Museum offers a rare opportunity to experience this iconic work of art in London, just a short stroll from The Montague on the Gardens.
