East London

After the success of January’s party, Peoples return and are proud to present two leading lights of the underground in Mike Gill and Sahin Meyer.

London native Mike Gill was raised on a strict diet of house and garage, growing up in the 90’s. Progressing from Djing to producing the young artists big break came in July 2012 when Wolf + Lamb head honcho Gadi Mizrahi heard a demo of Mike's summer smash 'Midst of the Moment' featuring Robert Owens and was quick to realise it's huge potential, immediately snapping it up. Since then, things have moved quickly with releases on Hot Waves II & IV, House of Disco and a ton of gigs at some of the world's best clubs and festivals including Glade & Secret Garden Party (UK), Meadow in the Mountains & Horizons (Bulgaria) and Echo Festival (Croatia). With his open minded and eclectic taste for music, the last year has seen his production and DJ sound shift to a more mature, contemporary house and garage style; most evident on his release for Jamie Trench's Roots For Bloom imprint. His most recent EP ‘Copping a feel’, a collaboration with Taymor Zadeh, saw huge appreciation from such names as Apollonia and Raresh and his highly anticipated next release is a remix of Javier Monero is due out soon on Nordik net Records together with a remix by Andrade. With bundles of energy as well as being known as one of the most affable personalities on the circuit; you can expect Mike Gill to bring the party for you Peoples.

Shy and Linda are a Husband and Wife team from South Africa known as Sahin Meyer. Together they have carefully and relatively quietly been carving out their signature brand of loopy, heads-down house over the past few years. Already they have labels such as Room With A View, Best Works and Peppermint Jam in their catalog with remixes for Faze Action, Andre Lodemann and James Teej dropping this year. They have also recently launched their label called Hlanganani Music… mainly focusing on South African artists with remixes by some of their international friends, the First release is entitled B’utiza with remixes from Christian Prommer and XDB. These guys are going to be ones to watch in 2015.
