The City is set to get a whole lot more fun as London Cocktail Club lands with their ninth outpost opening in Monument. Details are still pretty sparse but rumour has it the basement bar will have a Saville Row tailor's theme complete with 'twisted punk ass, Viv Westwood styled taxidermy' and the cocktail list will feature drinks infused with beer known as hoptails. If the bar is anything like their previous venues, there will be a lot of shot taking, hip hop music and a whole load of fun.
What we say:
London Cocktail Club is taking over our fair city and we certainly have no complaints, especially as they are promising their naughtiest venue yet. Having conquered the East in Bethnal Green and Shoreditch, the party bar is enticing city workers to loosen their ties and get in the party spirit that only LCC can create as they open up in Monument. We're sure there will be the usual mix of devilishly strong espressos martinis and margaritas but carving out a niche will be the hoptails - beer-crafted cocktails.
