What they say:

BYOC is opening its fifth venue in the City, minutes from Liverpool Street station and The Gherkin and located underneath James Cochran's restaurant. The bar will follow the format of its previous outlets with a £25 entrance fee and visitors bringing their favourite bottle of spirit from which expert mixlogists will whip up concoctions. BYOC East has a prohibition theme with the walls lined with books, a piano and vintage wallpaper to take you back to the 1920s.

What we say:

With its 1920s vibe, subterranean bar and easy going jazz style, BYOC was always going to be a hit in East London. Rather than go for a quirky Shoreditch spot, the bar is minutes from Liverpool Street Station, giving City workers an alternative drinking spot. There will be a piano to add to the swinging atmosphere as well as lots of quirky decor, from vintage photos to old books.
