What is Kizomba?
Kizomba is a genre of dance and music originating in Angola that has spiralled in popularity throughout Europe. It is typically danced with a partner and features a combination of quick and slow movements that oozes artistic expression, sophistication and sensuality.
What can I expect?
You will be trained by our friendly professional teachers Manon Batrel, Rico Suave and Lorand Giro. If you are an absolute beginner, we recommend that you join the beginner class at 7.30pm to learn the basics (no partner required). We regularly rotate partners so you have the opportunity to dance with lots of different people! Afterwards, you are welcome to practice what you have learnt with others during the social party and/or watch any of the other classes. We recommend that you wear clothes and shoes that you feel comfortable moving in (Heels for ladies are optional)
I have never done anything like this before. Will I be welcome?
Yes! All ages, abilities and fitness levels can be found in our classes. It is a very accessible dance style.
