Silk Rd is bringing continental food to Beetham Plaza.

After opening a venue in Heswall in 2017, they have set up shop in the heart of the city centre, around shopping centres and the business district. The restaurant takes its influence from the Silk Road that connected the Mediterranean sea with East Asia. Their floor-to-ceiling, tessellated windows open up the already bright and welcoming venue, and once inside you can expect you’ll be greeted by a multi-coloured haven of soft seating, old style suitcases and other objects calling back to their historical heritage.

The menu is a mixture of traditional street food alongside tapas and mezze. Following the silk road, they have a variety of dishes from different cultures, such as the Yaour Tlou, which is savoury beef kebabs topped with greek yoghurt and spice tomato sauce. There’s also curries, noodles and seafood options. As for drinks, there’s a wide range of international cocktails, beers and wines.
