Based on the ancient pilgrimage to Galicia's Santiago de Compostela, this unique eatery in Duke Street Market serves up some seriously stunning food. The first bricks-and-mortar venue from the Million Pound Menu winners, the restaurant guides guests among the routes of the Camino through its radically seasonal small plates, that range from rustic coal-roasted potatoes with Manchego cheese, to heady lamb sweet breads with squash and pickled mustard seeds. If you're looking to get the full Pilgrim experience though, their four-course tasting menu takes inspiration from specific routes on the pilgrimage and crafts plates based on the regions and landmarks travelled.
At 40 covers the restaurant is by no means large, but its exquisite mezzanine bar boasts a spot of extra seating to watch the chefs at work down in the open kitchen. There's more to this space than just views though as Pilgrim's expert drinks team are on-hand to recommend some dreamy tipples from their extensive wine and Vermouth selections, and pour you out a few on-tap cocktails.
