Moor Hall

Description

A short train ride from Liverpool city centre sits Moor Hall, a two Michelin star restaurant with rooms that demands a place on your gastro bucket list. The interiors alone offer luxury and sophistication by the bucketload, encompassing a cosy snug and conservatory-style dining space.

Located in the Lancashire village of Aughton, the venue is surrounded by acres of gorgeous parkland, including a lake and little woodland. It was this landscape that inspired chef patron Mark Birchall's impressive plates, which come served as a series of set menus. Diners can expect to be taken on a culinary adventure, as dishes go far beyond obvious flavour combinations - think baked carrots with chrysanthemum and sea buckthorn, or turbot cooked with pear, mussels and celeriac.

There's no shortage of liquid refreshments here either, as Moor Hall boasts a very extensive bottle list, incorporating fine wines from every corner of the globe into their collection. The bar also serves up a selection of cocktails, handcrafted before your very eyes by talented mixologists.
