El Gato Negro Liverpool

Description

One of the North's most acclaimed chefs has brought his award-winning tapas restaurant to Liverpool.

El Gato Negro Liverpool has taken over the space formerly occupied by Vincent Cafe and Cocktail Bar, in the impressive Exchange Flags building, stamping its own Spanish influence on things. Chef patron Simon Shaw has recreated the menu that's garnered recognition from the Michelin team and AA Rosettes, with a seasonal line-up of tapas, split into seafood, charcuterie, vegetables, and meat.

Stand-out dishes include the likes of Bikini, a toastie stuffed with jamon serrano, truffle butter and Manchego, along with chargrilled octopus, patatas bravas, and meatballs in tomato fritarda sauce. To wash it all down, expect a strong list of Spanish wines and sherries.
