A little bit of this, a little bit of that. There’s a reason why we clamour over pretty cheeseboards filled to the brim with pockets of chorizo and morsels of brie. And guess what? We’ve got the latest on the newest restaurant slinging out heavenly charcuterie spreads. Situated on New Briggate, KINO is coming in hot this summer with sharing boards and delish drinks from independent and local suppliers.

Housed in Opera North, the eatery can seat up to 100 people and is spread across three bustling floors. It evokes a minimalist vibe, complete with cinema-inspired decor, quaint tables and an extra friendly staff – fab for cute date nights. Up until the 14th of September, the venue will be offering charcuterie snacks and tipples before introducing its menu from Levantine joint, MorMor. Something else to expect? A top-notch lineup of guest chefs and pop-ups – keep your eyes peeled for a lush gin and cheese event.

In the meantime, you can tuck into sumptuous spreads stuffed with crackers from The Fine Cheese Co and air-dried York ham. Pair your munch with a bit of wine, craft ale or a refreshing cocktail. For something different, we recommend trying the basil grande – a heady mix of Grand Marnier, black raspberry liqueur, strawberries, basil and cranberry juice. Does that all sound gouda to you?
