With a drinks menu stocked to the rafters with delicious cocktails, sumptuous wines and an eclectic mix of worldly beers, it seems unfair to label The Liquorist as anything other than a boozy emporium.

Found on Greek Street, in the very heart of Leeds, this is an open, inviting venue that charms with its mismatched furniture and ornamental knick-knacks. The Liquorist is naturally custom-made for letting loose after work or at weekends, and the venue also offers a hearty food selection that spans everything from fresh salads to fabulous burgers.

We went to The Liquorist, Leeds for a Cocktail Masterclass as a work department night out. The planned evening was brilliant. Mostly the food was lovely, although some of the vegetarians options weren't as tasty. All in all, a good night! visited The Liquorist on 18 Oct 2016

The food and drinks were fantastic. The service however was poor - very very slow service. Hence the low score and no tip left. visited The Liquorist on 11 Oct 2016

I visited the liquorist on Friday with 3 other friends. The service and food was quite good until it came to the dessert. 3 of us ordered dessert one of which was the melting middle choc pudding, of which there was only 1 left. When the dessert arrived it was rock hard and anything but melt in the middle which was solid! It was obviously overcooked. It took us 15 mins to attract the attention of a waiter by which time everyone else had finished eating. The waiter offered to get my friend another choc pudding at which point she pointed out, as she had taken the last one, there was no more. The waiter then picked up the dessert and said I will knock it off your bill - at worst another dessert should have been offered!! Very disappointed as to how a genuine complaint was dealt with downhamdn visited The Liquorist on 07 Oct 2016

Unfortunately we ordered starters but we didn't get them, our mains came to our table first so we just cancelled the starters. food ok for the price, good atmosphere. ails visited The Liquorist on 01 Oct 2016

Very poor experience after previous visits which were excellent. 1 Booked on line and email reply said it was not a confirmation and we would be contacted by a member of staff to confirm. This never happened and we had to ring them on Saturday lunch time to confirm the evening reservation 2 Specifically ordered drink without ice and it came full of it and had to be changed. 3 Ordered beef blade with skin on chips, roasted vine tomatoes and mushrooms. Actually served with mashed potato and garden peas.. 4 Other meal was a chicken hanging kebab and salad. Second piece of chicken was raw on one side. How can that happen when all the cooked meat should be checked with a temp probe. The manager never came to apologise and left it to an inexperienced but very helpful server to apologise and discount our bill. There are many alternatives in leeds to enjoy an evening meal and would not recommend this one. Shirley visited The Liquorist on 13 Aug 2016

When we were arranging our wedding, it was just going to be a small wedding at the registry office with a meal afterwards and then we found the liquorist and every changed! We saw the fantastic photos of their rooms on the website and it instantly became clear that this was the place for us. What started out as a small wedding turned into a full on blessing in the study, with a wedding breakfast in the restaurant and an evening do in Bar seven. We were very specific about what we wanted on the day and this was never a problem for Stuart G who was overseeing our big day. We had some really stressful times but 10 mins with Stuart soon put us at ease. We can never thank Stuart and The Liquorist enough for making our big day so memorable. We just wish we could do it all again! Even our friends and family remarked that it was one of the best weddings they had been to!

We order our first round of drinks this took almost half an hr to come and they missed two of them. Then after wait almost an hour and a half we got our main which my order of corn fed chicken was RAW!! All the way through. It looked like it could be hopping around the table!! After sending it back they took it and my drinks off the bill and also gave us free puddings. But I think its an easy answer as to if I will going again. Which is a big fat no! Bloody bloody hell no!!! Thank you but no thank.

I booked an area at least 2 months in advance for my sister in law to be's hen do. The lady I was liasing was so helpful and she offered to even decorate the area with balloons for me and we went into detail with the colour and she said everything would be ready for our arrival including our pre ordered drinks with the champagne glasses. When we got there 15 mins late we were massively disappointmented to see nothing was there apart from a reserved sign. This was a huge let down as there was this big surprise for the hen who had no idea where she was going and we are greeted with nothing! There wasnt even a manager around at first but a team leader explained the lady I'd been liasing had walked out this week. Although 24 hours poor I did get a confirmation email so they knew what drinks were pre ordered- at least the glasses and champagne buckets could have been ready as it was on the booking. However we did get a few free drinks but it just wasn't anything special as planned... lucyloo visited The Liquorist on 29 May 2016

Just want to say a massive thank you for being brilliant and making my Hen night a really special night out. My party and I were welcomed from the minute we walked in the door until we left. The cocktails were gorgeous and the food fantastic. The waitress who served our food was lovely and all of my party were very impressed with this service - Thank you so very much - we will certainly be back to visit again soon! jbeaumont00 visited The Liquorist on 07 May 2016

I booked a table here for my partners birthday. When we arrived we were shoved away in the corner and after 10 minutes of been there the DJ came and took one of our tables away because he said he needed it. They didn't have enough staff on to serve the amount of people that were ordering drinks. I had to wait 7 minutes to be served. So overall i was very disappointed in the venue.
