Get down to The Ferry for an evening of live music, tasty treats and a warming atmosphere that won't burn a hole in your wallet. If you're looking for something a little laid-back, get down to Pie & Brew, where there will be live music from Mark Morriss, Sean McGarvey and Mandulu and Hephzibah. You can even enjoy a fablous countdown to midnight, with a dram of whisky and a haggis and black pudding mini pie at the bells.

Renowned for their unashamedly raucous house parties in a secret flat on Bath Street, you can count on Flat 0/1 to deliver the goods when it comes to Hogmanay. A place where “council tax letters become paper aeroplanes and eviction letters are turned into roach”, come for cheap drinks and killer DJ sets at one of the hottest house parties of the year.

Get your dancing shoes on, because Friday Street is about to have you jamming into 2019 as they welcome DJs Mikey Collins, Paul Molloy and Craig Reece to spin the soundtrack to an awesome Hogmanay. Expect to hear the best in blues, ska and soul, with tickets from just £8.50.

It's because of venues like this that Glasgow is considered one of the greatest cities to go clubbing on a budget. Throughout the year, club nights are free for students and you can expect to find the basement space packed with the usual hedonists come Hogmanay. Come for top DJ sets and a sweaty, all-night rave; really setting the standard for 2019.

If you like your nights out with a side of house music and your Hogmanay with a sprinkling of drum and bass, then you'll want to get down to SWG3 for Hogmanay. One of the few times it's acceptable to party on a Monday, you can expect the likes of The Black Madonna and Optimo alongside some very special guests.
