'Practical Peeling- Adding meaningful striptease to your burlesque'

"Practical Peeling" (or 'Peeling with a Purpose' as it used to be called) is a workshop designed to introduce you to
essential costume items used in burlesque, and the many interesting ways you can remove them! We focus on setting intentions for your striptease, rather than randomly removing items in an act, and chat about developing a real relationship between your body and your costumes.
We also discuss the pros & cons of snaps vs velcro, and loads other tips for dramatic reveals and quick tearaways.
This lesson culminates in a fabulous little striptease routine that is easy to remember, and fun to perform for an audience of 1, or 1000!!! <3

Please note the following when preparing for this workshop:

1. You may wear whatever you like! Shoes are optional, so get comfy- or go all out and dress up!
2. Please ensure you have a Bra, thigh-high stockings and gloves  to practice peeling techniques (and any other costume items you would like to discuss in this class-e.g. Pants, skirt, dress).
3. We host this as a 60 minute interactive class, and you will receive the recording after the class so that you can practice in your own time.
4. I teach the essential basic removal techniques associated with each costume item, and include a short piece of choreography as
   a practical application of these skills at the end of the lesson.
5. We use Zoom to host these, so please ensure a stable internet connection for best results.
