It's your time to shine. You take the microphone. You stand centre stage. The words come up on the screen. Before you know it, you and your three best friends are tearing up Lady Marmalade and you realise you could be Christina Aguilera's voice double. Ah karaoke, one of life's greatest pleasures and a fun element in any Glasgow night out. Okay, it's not for everyone but if you fancy yourself as a karaoke queen (or king) there are some top karaoke bars in Glasgow. The Horseshoe Bar may not look it from the outside, but inside it's a karaoke palace. With the machine turned on and turned up every evening, this place takes their crooning seriously. So if you just have to blare Angels at the top of your lungs, this central Glasgow pub is the place to come for karaoke - seven nights a week.
Hummingbird on Bath Street love karaoke so much they've got an entire room dedicated to it. The Glitter Room upstairs is a fun (soundproof) room, where you and your pals can croon away as loud or as badly as you wish. There's also karaoke machines in other private spaces in the bar, so if you want a room a little less, eh, glittery to sing in, Hummingbird will be able to sort you out.
The Corinthian Club have a dedicated space upstairs for you and your mates to get your sing on. Their Nosey Parker's room is a cool place to have a karaoke party with your pals. With the Charlie Parker's piano bar nearby and Teller's bar and casino downstairs it's a great option for a hen night or special birthday party.
Thursday nights are karaoke nights in Merchant City with Speakeasy's weekly night dedicated to the art. Camp Karaoke with Nancy Clench is an all singing, all dancing karaoke night where punters let their inner divas go wild on the mic.
