Bars in East End Glasgow

Glasgow's East End is often neglected in the nightlife stakes. But with a recent regeneration of the area and the upcoming Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games on the horizon, the future looks bright for Glasgow's East End. If you fancy heading east of an evening, here's our pick of East End gems to check out.

WEST On The Green

Worth heading east for, West Brewery is a beer buff's dream. A cracking bar and restaurant, a super beer garden and a brewery set into the stunning Templeton building overlooking Glasgow Green, West is a beerhall that goes straight to the source. A select spot for craft beer lovers or just those in search of something a little different in Glasgow, West offers sensational beer, first class food, great surroundings and pleasant banter. One of East Glasgow's true gems and a sterling Glasgow night out.

The Barrowland Ballroom

The Barras is one of Glasgow's most iconic areas and of course, the Barrowland Ballroom is at the centre of it. One of Glasgow's most important music venues, this place is steeped in history with hundreds of stars from Bob Dylan to the Gallagher brothers having graced its stage. While a little rough around the edges nowadays, the sign out front shines bright and The Barrowlands Ballroom is still a damn fine spot to catch a gig.
