Calling all Cambridge singles...we have some exciting news for you all! We are finally launching our famous lock and key singles party in Cambridge at Hidden Rooms!
SpeedDater run the BIGGEST (and best!) singles parties. Our parties typically attract around 200 guests with an equal gender split, that's loads more than any of our competitors!
All the activities listed below are included with your ticket - no extras to pay for apart from drinks.
Lock and Key Party
A fun ice-breaking game. All women will be given locks and all men will be given keys. You then circulate looking for someone who fits your lock or key. Find a match and you can go up to collect a raffle ticket for a chance to win some great prizes.
Optional Speed Dating
In a separate room we'll be running speed dating - a brilliant way to meet people at the party in a series of fun, three minute dates. If you would like to join in, please sign up for a session at registration. Sessions are in 30 minute blocks, so you will meet around 10 dates per session. Please note sessions have up to 30 dates in total, however you will not date everyone. If you met 30 dates, each session would be over 2 hours and we'd be there till past 4am!
The 30 minute sessions are designed as a 'taster' at the party. If you do wish to speed date everyone at the event, we advise booking a regular speed dating event instead of a party. You must be ready to date at least 5 minutes before your sessions begins or you will lose your place!
Speed dating is always very popular, so please arrive by 7:15pm to guarantee a place. Sessions are booked on a first come, first served basis. If you arrive late we can not guarantee you place on the speed dating sessions.
Dresscode
Smart casual. Denim and trainers are allowed.
After the Singles Party
The Monday after the event you'll be able to view profiles of the other attendees and send them messages for FREE!
Please note: Pay on door payments are charged at the maximum ticket price and not the early bird discount. To take advantage of the early bird offer you must prebook and prepay using a debit/credit card.
If you book the wrong gender tiecket (E. g. Gents instead of Ladies) you run the risk of not being able to take part. If the correct gender is unavailable, it means it is SOLD OUT.

1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight (WFL Media Ltd) and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
