Like your wings with a dusting of 24-carat gold dust? Well, look no further because Backyard Chicken are bringing you exactly that at their brand new Queen's Road coop. Headed up by Simon Blagden (ex-CEO of Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group) and chef Jules Hunt, the restaurant is all about tasty cooking and cutting-edge technology.
Diners are put in the driver's seat, with wait staff eschewed in favour of high-tech tableside ordering in order to improve quality, speed and service. With space for 120 covers, the restaurant is filled with artwork from local artist Anna Haggie, alongside industrial decor and neon signage.
Not only will you find chicken fried, baked and grilled, but there's also a range of plant-based dishes like the vegan big mac and beetroot nuggets. Save room for the frozen rainbow yoghurt and a few cocktails; whether it's the Backyard G&T made with watermelon and cucumber tonic, or a Nitro Espresso Martini.
