Beautifully prepared pasta dishes, an ever-changing 90-bottle wine list and a burrata bar? If that’s got your attention, then you’re going to want to hear about the exciting, new Italian restaurant in Newstead – Allonda.

Though from the same team behind much-loved Paddington eatery NOTA, this new venture is a more contemporary hangout compared to its romantic, rustic counterpart. Across its two sprawling floors, you’ll find a relaxed, Scandi-chic space for drinking and dining – think stripped-back, concrete walls and elegant white tables contrasted by blonde timbre chairs. And let's not forget the exciting burrata bar where curd nerds can have their tastebuds tingled to no end.

What's on the menu? A whole load of enticing Italian eats, including fresh, handcrafted pasta (the sweet corn ravioli sounds particularly delicious), alongside dishes such as Margra lamb rump with smoked yoghurt and salsa verde. Just don't forget to complement your meal with a glass from the international wine list or one of the unique cocktails. Our favourite is the White Chocolate Negroni, made up of gin, Oscar 697 Rosso syrup, lemon and egg whites.
