Description
Located on Preston Street, Anakuma is a bold and playful Asian fusion restaurant serving up flavour-packed small plates, bao buns, and “naughty” cocktails in a vibrant, neon-lit setting. With a name that means “little bear” in Japanese, Anakuma brings big energy and even bigger flavours to Brighton’s food scene.
The menu is built for sharing, with dishes inspired by Japanese, Korean, Mexican and Southeast Asian street food, from crispy karaage and sticky wings to pillowy bao stuffed with everything from hoisin jackfruit to Korean fried chicken. The drinks list is just as fun, featuring house cocktails with a cheeky twist, alongside sake, spirits, and Asian beers.
