1909 offers organic small plates to The Lanes.
The small restaurant sits on the first floor of jewellery shop Pressleys, serving lunch and dinner to shoppers of the prestigious shop. The glamour of the store is continued into the interior, with spotlights on the ceiling, a marble bar and floor-to-ceiling mirrors.
Despite the appearances, the focus is on affordable British (with Japanese and Italian twists) small plates, with prices ranging from £5 to £7. The dishes include pork cheek and parsley cencioni as well as grouse potsticker with shiitake dashi and greens. As for drinks, there’s a focus on natural wines, with a regularly changing selection that showcases four different wine producers.
