Our Christmas Secret Cinema screening of Love Actually on Sunday 18th December is now completely SOLD OUT. However, we didn’t want you to miss out on all the fun, so we decided to hosting another Independent Birmingham Secret Cinema - and this time, we’ll be showing Elf. Here's what you need to know:
On Thursday 22nd December, Independent Birmingham is taking over Brum's oldest pub, The Old Crown, for an unmissable secret cinema event like no other. Taking place under a heated marquee in The Old Crown's ace beer garden, arrive at 5pm (film starts at 7pm) and you'll find your deckchair for the evening (that's right, a deckchair) and your very own headphones - because this is an immersive cinema event!
Upon entry you'll be given a FREE glass of mulled wine, and on the night a range of delicious street food treats will be available to purchase, along with tasty tipples from the bar. Oh and did we forget to mention that we'll be showing the nation's favourite Christmas film, Elf!
Food on the night will include: a turkey, orange zest and thyme burger in a brioche bun topped with sage and onion stuffing, and cranberry and port-braised red cabbage or a sweet potato and pistachio burger, also topped with stuffing and red cabbage (both burgers are served with a side of garlic and rosemary potatoes and a pot of gravy for dipping). How delightful!
Tickets cost £12 each and include: entry to the event and a FREE glass of mulled wine upon arrival.
Note: this event will be taking place outside. Whilst there will be heaters in the marquee, it may be cold (being mid December) so please remember to wrap up warm.
Doors open at 5pm (film starts at 7pm). This event is 18+. There is disabled access.

We suggest you make the most of the event and leave the car at home but if you are driving the closest carpark is on Heath Mill Lane and is less than a 1 minutes’ walk to the event.
By Bus or a short walk from the City
A 10 minute walk from Bullring Shopping Centre. No.'s 4, 5, 6, 37, 37A, 27Y, 41 649, 560, 66Y 57, 57Y, 58, 58A, 60, X66 and 900 all go from City Centre along Digbeth and Deritend. A few seconds walk from the bus stop near the custard factory to The Old Crown.
